“Daruma” is a tiny, red Japanese wishing doll. A wish is made at the placement of the first eye. The second eye is drawn only once this wish is fulfilled.
The Daruma doll was a principal inspiration to one of my first short films and has been the little patron to my projects ever since.
For every film started with a wish and every film realised is a wish come true.
